Do you connect with each of your children every day? Not do you show them your love by making breakfast or help them by bandaging cuts, but do you truly connect with who they are?

The key to remember here is that connecting with your kids need not be complicated or time consuming. Granted, spending hours together is great but if we save connecting for those times, we lose so much and may actually fail at truly bonding with our kids. The big stuff happens in the little things.

Building a lasting relationship and knowing what’s going on with your child is about the day to day moments. They change so quickly, what you knew yesterday might not be so today–there are no cheat sheets or shortcuts in parenting, not if you want a solid relationship with your child.
The big moments such as baking Christmas cookies or going to the movies or a special outing together are great times as well, but quality time should not be saved for those moments that don’t happen on a regular basis.
How do you connect with your children on a daily basis or what you can do to better connect from now on? I really want to know, do share.
